Introduction to FanChain's Blogger Account - Why Blogger
Community. Decentralization. Transparency. The bulwarks of the blockchain and crypto movements direct emphasis towards the principles of liberating technologies. Many of the communication tools that support the social structure of these communities harken back to the bygone chatroom era: 4chan, Reddit, Telegram and Discord retain (relatively - looking at you, Reddit) open environments where people can share ideas, content and information in spaces not regulated by custodians. Custodians have points of views, political leanings and agendas. Custodians are gatekeepers.
And at the heart of the blockchain and crypto movement is the dissolution of gatekeepers.
Unfortunately, one of the most popular platforms for discussions about and around cryptocurrency was Medium. But Medium has recently converted into just another thought regulator, more protective of their own acquirability than of the free expressions of their users. Medium has become a censor.
So we are reviving a classic! At least insofar as we can tell Blogger has not instituted any barriers to the free and open discussion of blockchain and crypto. And so on this blog, with the old school headers and limited, early-oughts style themes, we hope we have found a haven where we can safely and freely let interested people know about a project very near and dear to our hearts; a project into which we pour ourselves day in and day out; a project we call FanChain.
